I am very happy to announce that with the onslaught of warm weather, the garden is really beginning to flourish! I could literally see the growth of the tomatoes and tomatillos from day to day. Such exciting stuff! I’ve been wandering out to the garden in the evening to gather basil for my pasta, and I cannot wait to do the same for some fresh tomatoes.
I mean, look at how happy this basil plant is! The flavor and aroma of it is just amazing!
The tomatoes are getting close! Here are the first players working away. Go Early Girl, Go!
The peppers are also tantalizingly close as well. This is an Anaheim pepper that I just can’t wait to roast and slice into in about a week!
Best of all, I have official garden bounty as of yesterday! The first picking of raspberries, and there are more out there just waiting for me to return with another bowl. Now…what to make!?!

I AM SO ENVIOUS!!! Those berries look heavenly. We are still more than a month away from our early fresh tomatoes, but at least I’m buying lots of fresh greens and herbs at the Farmer’s Markets now. This will be our first week of over 80 degree weather, so hopefully our growing season will really kick into gear. I am envious of your warmer climate and long harvest season. But the cool breezes and fresh air of Montana is pretty delicious, too! xxxx
